The majority of people who blunder or make mistakes will learn from these experiences, we realize and acknowledge our faults and learn to not make the same mistakes. People with a personality disorder have deeply engrained methods of thinking and behaving that bring about a multitude of relationship and social problems.

There are many types of personality disorders, so to make it easier to understand their behaviors and ways of thinking, the different types of disorders will be placed in categories of three separate groups.

Paranoid, Schizoid & Schizotypal Personality Disorders: People who have personality disorders form this group appear suapicious and distrustful of all other people. They have odd behavior, people have trouble to get to know them because they are subject to weird behavior. They end up spending a lot of their time alone.

Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic & Narcissistic Personality Disorders: People in this group of disorders are excessively emotional and are unstable. They all have problems with being impulsive, self-centered, and unapologetic. Their lives rotate aroud drama, they live to seek reaction form others and enjoy attention. They find it hard to keep friends or to stay in a relationship.

Avoidance, Dependent, Obsessive-Compulsive & Passive-Aggressive Personality Disorders: People with these disorders are more commonly thought of as anxiety filled, phobic, apprehensive, or obsessive.
Depending upon the type of personality disorder they have, the person could be overly shy, over demanding, or maybe even considered a perfectionist.

Everyone can be dependent or narcissistic, or even a little demanding at certain times, so it is hard to determine at which time the behavior becomes “pathological.” Sometimes the diagonosis of a personality disorder is difficult because people usually do not fit into a category neatly.

Seeking the help of a therapist can help some people. Getting the right medication is important to control anxiety and stress levels.
